BIOGRAPHY Edna M. Messick is the president and founder of E M Messick Consulting, Inc., a multi-service executive recruiting and consulting firm specializing in the placement of attorneys of color and diverse backgrounds at law firms and corporate legal departments worldwide. The firm also provides diversity consulting services to assist firms in identifying, attracting, recruiting and retaining attorneys of color, through assessing designing and implementing effective internal diversity programs. Ms Messick was formerly the Managing Director and Associate Publisher of American Lawyer Media’s Diversity Publishing Group and Law Firm Practice Development Director of the New York Law Journal where she produced such publications as the National Directory of Minority Attorneys and the Minority Law Journal. She also serves as a Trustee of Lawyers for One America and was a collaborator in its Report to the President of the United States on the Status of Color and Pro Bono Services in the Legal Profession: Bar None.
