Jeremy Robinson Executive Coach Jeremy Robinson’s business career has been the result of the mix of disciplines of writing, psychotherapy and management consulting. Jeremy has spent more than 15 years providing a range of leadership development services for senior executives, high potential employees, managers and small business owners. His favorites: working with super-intelligent, pace-setting executives who have business genius but whose leaderships styles are not as developed; and women and minority high potentials. He has worked actively to promote the application of both emotional intelligence practice and positive psychology to business. Purpose: to drive business results forward by developing self-aware leaders. He started his career as a newspaper reporter. He was a trusted interviewer who interviewed and wrote articles about prominent public officials including Ronald Reagan and Congressman Pete McCloskey. His interviewing skills deepened during five years of training in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health in NYC, where he also received training in an early forerunner of coaching called community mental health consultation. Applying his psychotherapeutic and interviewing skills to work being done in the adult development field, Robinson’s coaching career was launched. At the time, he also studied organizational consulting with an associate of Harry Levinson. Mr. Robinson often speaks on the topic of leadership development, and coaching. He has spoken Executive Coaching at the American Psychological Association Annual Conference, NY State Psychological Association Annual Conference, Linkage Coaching and Mentoring Conference, as well as presenting a live coaching demo on the phone (client identity disguised) at the International Coach Federation Annual Conference. He co-facilitated the 3rd Annual Executive Coaching Summit in 2001. Recent clients include: Citigroup, Wells Fargo, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), MediaVest, Jose Cuervo International (JCI), JetBlue Airlines, Pfizer, BMG Entertainment, Cap Gemini Ernest & Young, Partners in Human Resources International, MoutainViewGroup Communications, Bright Solutions/Martha Graham Dance Company and LifeCoachLab, slr (Italy). He is Founder of Executive Coach Academy, an organization that trains psychologists, HR Execs, OD practitioners and business executives in executive coaching. He is a faculty member of i-Coach New York, a coach training school. He is the President of Robinson Capital Corp., a human resources consulting company. He is co-founder of Blackbird Leadership, a management consulting firm specializing in coaching and developing female and minority executives, and attorneys. He has taught interviewing skills to medical students (at Albert Einstein School of Medicine), coaching skills to organizational development students (at Milano Graduate School at New School University in New York), and communications skills to business students (at University of Pennsylvania/ Wharton MBA business school). He is co-designer of an Executive Coaching Program in the Executive Education Division at Wharton Business School. He is a Fellow at Baruch College Executive Education program in New York. He is one of four featured executive coaches on the videotape “Top Coaches In the USA”. He has been quoted on coaching in The Economist Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, Wharton Business School E-Buzz Online Magazine and The Seattle Times. He is certified in a variety of assessment tools including the Emotional Competency Inventory (ECI), which measures emotional intelligence, and the Hogan Assessments. He is expert at designing and coaching executives on customized 360-Degree Executive Assessments. Jeremy holds certificates in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, and Community Mental Health Consultation from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health in NYC. He has graduate degrees in Social Work and English Literature/Creative Writing. Distinguishing strength as a coach?
