Lawyers For One America Executive Diversity Recruiters West Coast Specialist Anna Marie Armstrong Anna Marie Armstrong was recruited to join Mestel & Company to focus her practice on the placement of law firm partners in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco markets. She brings to Mestel & Company 12 years of legal search experience. Prior to joining the company, Anna was a Senior Consultant in the Partner & General Counsel Division of Mlegal Consulting and a Managing Director and Head of the Diversity Task Force at Major, Lindsey & Africa. Anna also ran her own legal search firm, Ascend Attorney Search Consultants. Anna is a graduate of Brown University and the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, where she was a member of the California Law Review. Anna clerked for the Honorable Earl B. Gilliam on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and was a litigation associate at Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin. In between college and law school, Anna was a legal assistant in Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office. Anna was born in San Francisco and grew up in Palo Alto where she attended public schools. Anna frequently speaks on topics related to the legal profession including diversity recruiting and retention, the Bay Area legal market and the in-house market. Anna has been invited to speak at many law schools including Boalt, Harvard, Hastings, Stanford, Santa Clara and the University of San Francisco.
