What is
Lawyers For One America?
Lawyers For One America is a collaboration of lawyers and organizations
in the legal profession working to insure that the legal profession reflects
the diverse society we serve and provides full service to underserved
communities so they can enjoy access to equal justice. The LFOA collaboration
welcomes others who support this mission to participate in our efforts.
What's
the impetus of Lawyers For One America?
Lawyers For One America was formed after President Clinton issued a historic
Call to Action at the White House on July 20, 1999. Specifically, President
Clinton asked the legal community to use their skill and their positions
of influence to increase diversity at all levels of the legal profession
and to increase pro bono services.

aimed at increasing diversity at all levels and expanding access to
legal services.
- Those practices, programs
and resources then will be promoted by LFOA through the network provided
by the attorneys and organizations in this collaboration, via conferences,
