We will all remember 2020 and 2021 as the years we experienced a global pandemic and survived a time of great inequity and uncertainty for many Americans. At LFOA, we will remember 2020 and 2021 with enormous thanks to our donors and our shared hope for a better tomorrow. The extremely generous financial gifts from our donors have allowed us to keep our virtual doors open to serve the people, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses struggling to stay afloat, healthy, and meet their families’ financial needs during these challenging and uncertain times.
With these donations, the volunteer lawyers at LFOA prepared healthcare directives, powers-of-attorneys, wills and estate matters, and helped nonprofits and small businesses navigate leases, contracts, and the complexities of the limited funds available from the federal and state governments. The bulk of our work, these past 2 years, filing over 200 federal and state income tax returns and successfully negotiating offers and compromise to significantly reduce federal and state tax liabilities on behalf of low-wealth and underserved members of our society, could not have been achieved without our donor’s support.
