Edna Messick is the President of E M Messick Consulting, Inc., an executive search and consulting firm that places corporate counsel, partners and mid-level associates in major corporations and law firms worldwide. The firm specializes in the placement of diverse candidates in the areas of Banking, Bankruptcy, Corporate, Corporate Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions, International Finance, Structured Finance, Project Finance, Sports & Entertainment, Intellectual Property, Tax, ERISA, Real Estate, Litigation and Labor and Employment. Edna’s consulting services are also available for firms contemplating mergers and practice group acquisitions. In addition, she assists law firm partners in drafting and developing business plans. Edna was formerly the Managing Director and Associate Publisher of American Lawyer Media’s Diversity Publishing Group and Law Firm Practice Development Director of the New York Law Journal where she produced such publications as the National Directory of Minority Attorneys and the Minority Law Journal. She also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustee of Lawyers For One America and was a collaborator in its Report to the President of the United States on the Status of Color and Pro Bono Services in the Legal Profession: Bar None.
